Police have charged a Puna man who was reportedly shot at by a police officer Friday in Puna after he allegedly tried to run the officer down with a car.

Police have charged a Puna man who was reportedly shot at by a police officer Friday in Puna after he allegedly tried to run the officer down with a car.

At 9 p.m. Monday, 24-year-old Daesyn Pacheco-Muragin of Mountain View was charged with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, one count of second-degree reckless endangering, three counts of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, two counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two counts of possessing drug paraphernalia and one weapon offense. His bail was set at $102,000.

He remained at the Hilo police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for today.
